ARCHITECTURE

Architectural Building Designer (Entry Level to 5 Years Experience)

We are seeking qualified Architectural Designers to work with project teams in multiple markets with exceptional clients. Qualifications:

ENGINEERING

Mid-Level Mechanical (HVAC) Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer for our growing engineering team in our Albany, NY office. This individual will be an integral part of our engineering design group, working alongside our engineering managers, architects, and project managers in performing technical design and specification.

The qualified individual should have at least 5 years of experience designing building mechanical systems (HVAC) for new construction and renovation projects as a consultant to architects, developers and property owners.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years U.S.-based experience designing building mechanical systems (HVAC) in the A/E and construction industry.
  • Experience performing engineering tasks as a mechanical design engineer from concept design through construction closeout, including development of construction drawings, specifications, calculations and cost estimates.
  • Experience surveying and assessing existing buildings and associated mechanical and plumbing equipment to develop future capital improvement projects for the client.
  • Working knowledge of state and national building and energy codes and standards.
  • Experience reviewing construction documents for code compliance, interdisciplinary coordination, and quality assurance.
  • Experience in construction administration (submittals, RFIs, construction site observations and documentation).
  • Energy modeling experience is a plus.
  • LEED certified project experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License highly desired.
  • LEED AP accreditation is preferred.

Mid-Level Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced electrical design engineer for our growing electrical/technology engineering team in our Albany, NY office. This individual will be an integral part of our engineering design group, working alongside our engineering managers, architects, and project managers in performing technical design and specification.

The qualified individual should have at least 4 years of experience designing building electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects as a consultant to architects, developers and property owners.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 4 years U.S.-based experience designing building electrical systems in the A/E and construction industry.
  • Experience performing engineering tasks as an electrical design engineer from concept design through construction closeout, including development of construction drawings, specifications, calculations and cost estimates.
  • Experience performing electric service calculations, designing electrical distribution systems, designing lighting and lighting control systems, selecting and scheduling equipment.
  • Experience surveying and assessing existing buildings and associated electrical systems to document existing conditions.
  • Experience in construction administration (submittals, RFIs, construction site observations and documentation).
  • Working knowledge of state and national building and energy codes and standards.
  • Fire alarm system design experience is a plus.
  • Telecommunications system design experience is a plus.
  • LEED certified project experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering required.
  • Pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) License is highly desired.
  • LEED AP accreditation is preferred.

Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer

We are seeking an experienced plumbing/fire protection engineer for our growing mechanical/plumbing/fire protection engineering team. This individual will be an integral part of our engineering design group, working alongside our engineering managers, architects, and project managers in performing technical design and specification.

The qualified individual should have at least 5 years of experience designing building plumbing and fire protection systems for new construction and renovation projects as a consultant to architects, developers and property owners.  Position requirements include:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing building plumbing and fire protection systems in the A/E and construction industry
  • Experience developing plumbing and fire protection system concepts, calculating water/gas/sanitary/sewer/storm loads for utility coordination, designing plumbing and fire protection systems for bid and construction, and writing specifications.
  • Experience surveying and assessing existing buildings and associated plumbing and fire protection systems to document existing conditions.
  • Experience in construction administration (submittals, RFIs, construction site observations and documentation).
  • Solid working knowledge of building, plumbing and fire codes.
  • LEED certified project experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
  • Pursuing a Professional Engineer (PE) License is highly desired.
  • CPD certification is highly desired.
  • LEED AP accreditation is a plus.
  • Revit design experience is preferred.
