K12 SCHOOLS
The ability to impact a community, inspire imagination and assist learning – those are just a few of our passions when we work with public and private schools. We enjoy the excitement of children responding positively to new environments and love designing spaces that are specifically for them.
From the beginning of the design process, we capitalize on the energy and ideas of the whole community to provide creative, practical solutions that meet specific needs. Maximizing state aid and moving projects through the state education department are as important as using children’s artwork and community treasures as part of the interior décor. We have an exceptional track record in helping districts pass referendums and receive high marks in delivering projects on-time and on-budget.
COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES
A unique sense of place. Buildings on a campus work together to create a special dynamic that impacts the lift of the college community. We partner with colleges and universities to leave a legacy, designing through a process of discovery that involves key constituents and works to accommodate both long and short term goals.
Balancing aesthetic and programming objectives with budget constraints, we begin with pertinent questions: How does a new or renovated facility fit with the master plan for the institution? How will it impact the daily lives of students, faculty and administrators? Is the building contextually sensitive, yet at the same time, make its own statement?
CSArch designs environments that are forward thinking, integrating spaces to learn and live-in facilities prepared to meet evolving roles in student life.
CORPORATE
Innovation. With today’s changing and emerging technologies, innovation in design and construction is needed now more than ever. Our professional team understands this need. We apply the latest advances in engineering and building technology to the design of buildings that anticipate change, whether for the adaptation of an existing building for a new use, or for the development of a new, state-of-the-art structure.
At CSArch, we tailor solutions to a client’s specific needs. Our goal is to form a partnership with our client in order to draw upon the collective experience and expertise to achieve the highest quality result in the most cost-effective manner. We are committed to being leaders in the field of corporate design and technology innovation, and to providing service that exceeds the expectations of our clients.
GOVERNMENT
Excellent relationships with New York State agencies, expertise in the adaptive use of historic spaces, and our outstanding body of work with public schools each come into play as we work with clients in the government sector.
NON-PROFIT
With a mission of service to the public, our non-profit clients provide an inspiring market focus for CSArch. Through creative approaches to spaces such as theatres, museums and libraries, we open the door to new possibility for the communities where we live and work each day.
HEALTHCARE
Evolving legislation. Advances in medicine. Aging buildings. Growing populations. Many factors are driving changes in healthcare. To be effective as healthcare architects and planners, we maintain focus on the heart of the matter: the relationships between a physician and his patients and a hospital and its community.
We advocate for the transformation of the medical campus “on the hill” to a community hospital on “Main Street”, where people can interact with the services and providers they need on a daily basis. This approach helps to shape healthcare systems that are part of the fabric of community life, much like schools, colleges and libraries.
CSArch thinks outside the clinical box, bringing a broader view to healthcare design – one that addresses the way the landscape is changing at a regional level. A wealth of medical campus and urban planning experience and on emphasis on long-term solutions help us to understand and evaluate not only the delivery of services, but the business of providing high quality medical care as well.
