Senior Electrical Engineer

CSArch is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for our growing engineering team in our Albany, New York office. This individual will be an integral part of our engineering design group, leading electrical design work and working alongside our project managers, architects, and engineers in performing technical design and specification.

The qualified individual should have at least 10 years of experience designing building electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects as a consultant to architects, developers and property owners.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 10 years U.S.-based experience designing building electrical systems in the A/E and construction industry.
  • Experience performing engineering tasks as an electrical design engineer from concept design through construction closeout, including development of construction drawings, specifications, calculations and cost estimates.
  • Experience performing electric service calculations, designing electrical distribution systems, designing lighting and lighting control systems, selecting and scheduling equipment.
  • Experience surveying and assessing existing buildings and associated electrical systems to document existing conditions.
  • Experience in construction administration (submittals, RFIs, construction site observations and documentation).
  • Expertise with the National Electrical Code and International Building and Energy Conservation Codes and relevant standards.
  • Fire alarm system design experience is a plus.
  • Telecommunications system design experience is a plus.
  • LEED certified project experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New York.
  • LEED AP accreditation is preferred.

Mechanical/Plumbing Designer

CSArch is seeking an experienced mechanical and plumbing systems designer for our growing engineering team in our Albany, NY office. This individual will be an integral part of our engineering design group, working alongside our engineering managers, architects, and project managers in performing technical design and specification.

The qualified individual should have at least 3 years of experience designing building mechanical systems (HVAC and/or Plumbing) for new construction and renovation projects as a consultant to architects, developers and property owners.

Senior Project Manager

CSArch is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its team in the Albany, Newburgh, or White Plains office. This person will be responsible for project team leadership, project financial management, and client management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as our main client contact on projects
  • Develops and manages overall project scope, schedule,and budget and adheres to it
  • Creates and implements project plans for the project team, including staffing, resource planning, and scheduling
  • Ensures customer satisfaction
  • Enforces on-time, under-budget performance
  • Works in conjunction with the Principal-in-Charge, Project Architect, and Lead Engineer(s) to establish and apply standards, methods, and procedures for delivering efficient and successful projects

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience as a Licensed Architect or Licensed Engineer
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management role, leading multi-discipline teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects on time and within budget, meeting client goals and objectives
  • Experience leading A/E teams as the prime consultant is preferred

Design Architect

CSArch is currently seeking a design architect to join its team in the Albany or White Plains office. Under the direction of the Project Design Leader, this position performs a variety of duties associated with education design projects to achieve client satisfaction and business goals, including knowledge-based experience and pedagogy trends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties and responsibilities include design, production and presentation, planning, organizing and coordination with engineers, designers, and architectural staff associated with the team’s goals and objectives.
  • The candidate must contribute to retaining and growing existing clients and may engage in developing and marketing new clients.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 8 years of experience in K-12 and higher education facility design.
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master of Architecture Degree.
  • Computer expertise using Revit and other design/presentation software programs.
  • Knowledge of pre-referendum planning, space programming, contract documents (including detailing, specifications, production management, design production), and construction administration.

Senior Project Architect

CSArch is currently seeking a Senior Project Architect for our Albany and Newburgh offices. This employee will be primarily responsible for the technical and production aspects for all project sizes, including projects of the highest complexity, from conceptual design through construction closeout, and may also have design responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads in-house design team through development of design and construction documentation process. Likely responsible for multiple projects at one time based on project size.  Could also provide support on larger project teams.
  • Responsible for all aspects of construction administration including but not limited to shop drawing/submittal review and coordination, attending project meetings, periodic monitoring of construction sites, interfacing with contractors and clients.
  • Supports project management with development of staffing, fee, budget estimating and project scheduling.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a licensed architect.
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master of Architecture Degree.
  • Computer expertise using Revit and other design/presentation software programs.
  • Knowledge of pre-referendum planning, space programming, contract documents (including detailing, specifications, production management, design production), and construction administration.
