Construction Project Administrator


CSArch, an A/E/CM firm with offices in Albany and Newburgh, NY is currently seeking a full-time Construction Project Administrator for both the Albany and Newburgh offices. The Construction Project Administrator position for the Albany Office is going to cover primarily the counties in and outside the east/north of the Adirondacks. The Newburgh position would cover projects in the lower Hudson Valley region. This position will be primarily remote/on-site and would only be required to come into the office when necessary for in person project meetings. The Construction Project Administrator is responsible for leading the day-to-day administration of a project during the construction phase. This person should have the ability to work on projects of all sizes and complexity.

Core Duties

  • Oversees and manages construction administration phase.
  • Monitors project for construction document compliance.
  • Initiates document revisions, project reviews and leads cost change management procedures.
  • Coordinates construction submittal review process with design team.
  • Receives and distributes construction test reports and coordinates commissioning activities.
  • Reviews construction field reports as prepared by Project Architect prior to distribution.
  • Facilitates project meetings, records meeting minutes; keeps daily logs, records and progress photos of project.
  • Administers and possibly assists with punch-list development and completion, manages closeout procedures and documents as-built records.
  • Performs post-construction services and one year warranty inspection with Design Team.


  • Licensure Requirements: Professional licensure not required.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressively complex construction observation experience is required.

  • Computer Skills: Proficient with technology use in various settings, MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, Submittal Exchange and Procore experience is a plus

  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills

  • Detail oriented; highly organized; self-motivated; accurate; works well under pressure; multitask, delegate, ability to plan, set goals, meet critical deadlines, conflict resolution/negotiation skills, ability to follow directions and ask questions.

  • 40+ hours M-F; overtime as necessary to meet deadlines, travel, driving, potential for infrequent night meetings, occasional lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs. Site observations may involve outdoor weather, year-round. Works around moving mechanical equipment, climbing ladders/scaffolding and observing high area construction activities. Noise level is often loud. Background check may be required. Requires use of hardhat, construction boots, and possibly other safety equipment as required on a construction site. OSHA 10 certification and recertification will be supported by the office and will be expected.

Educational Requirements

AAS or Bachelor’s of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is not required but is a plus
