Pioneer Bank’s New Headquarters Translates Brand into Physical Building

Pioneer Bank recently celebrated the completion of its new headquarters and banking center in Colonie, New York. A mixed-use space, the new 60,000 square foot, four-story building houses a new Wolf Road bank branch on the first floor with banking pods to support the bank’s non-traditional teller-client interaction. The first floor also makes available office/retail space for lease. The upper floors house private and open office spaces, conference rooms, and other amenities such as a learning and training center, gym, dramatic boardroom and bistro.

“Our new headquarters translates our brand into a physical building,” said Thomas L. Amell, President and Chief Executive Officer at Pioneer Bank.

Based in Troy for nearly 130 years, Pioneer Bank relocated to accommodate the rapid expansion of its operations and to unify its corporate offices, which were formerly dispersed among three offices. A prominent site at the corner of Albany-Shaker Road and Wolf Road in Colonie, the new building is easily visible to travelers on the Northway and ensures a centralized location accessible to the bank’s growing customer base. For many of the bank’s employees, it has also eased the commute.

The interior was designed with both the health of employees and the evolving needs of a growing corporation in mind. Sweeping windows provide generous natural light and widespread views of the surrounding landscape. Vibrant furnishings uplift the mood of the space, and thoughtfully engineered acoustics assure privacy amidst a busy office.
