Academy of the Holy Names Albany, NY

Phase 1 Capital Project

After completing the campus master plan, CSArch is continuing work with Academy of the Holy Names to launch one of the largest capital investments in its 134 year history. The $2.5 million project will enhance and expand the facility to prepare young women to be high achievers and leaders in their careers, communities and society.

Phase 1 of the capital project includes construction of The North Classroom Wing where larger “classrooms” become smaller “learning studios,” and seminar rooms, gathering areas, and project work areas provide flexibility for a wide range of learning activities and group sizes.

Safety improvements to the main entry will provide uninterrupted sightlines to the parking lot and circular drive, giving better control over visitor entry. A covered, glass-enclosed entry corridor replacing the breezeway will give students the use of an enclosed courtyard during the school day, protected from street view. Resurfacing the building façade and landscaping entry paths will create an attractive atmosphere to welcome those beginning their journey on campus.
