NEW FIRE STATION

North Greenbush Fire District #1

NEW FIRE STATION

After more than 20 years of planning for a new fire station for the growing town of North Greenbush, New York, the Defreestville Fire Department realized its vision for a new facility during the summer of 2016.

State-of-the-art Fire Station
New spaces include offices, training rooms, locker rooms, a member’s room, and a community meeting hall with a commercial kitchen on the administrative side of the building.
Indoor Training

The second floor mezzanine space provides the district with indoor training and drill spaces, as well as equipment maintenance and storage areas.

Project Scope

The new station is a technologically advanced facility that incorporates 10,500 square feet of firematic space, 2,000 square feet of office space, and 2,600 square feet of meeting and training rooms.

The new state-of-the-art fire station features five apparatus bays, including two drive-through bays. The overhead doors were designed to allow maximum visibility for the community as well as provide necessary natural light within the bays. Radiant floor heating throughout the apparatus space allows the vehicles to remain warm and maximizes the efficiency of the station.
