Senior Mechanical Engineer


Overview

CSArch is currently seeking a senior level Mechanical Designer/Engineer for our Albany office. Ideal candidate must have 15-20 years of experience with building systems design, with a concentration on HVAC and plumbing, and the ability to lead projects and mentor other staff, have prior experience working in or with an A/E office, and possess at minimum a Bachelor of Engineering in Architectural Engineering (BAE) or a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. Experience with high performance design and Revit is a plus. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment with architects and other building systems professionals. A permanent policy is being considered for remote work and flexible work schedules.

Core Duties

  • Design development of K-12, college/university and corporate office market segments
  • Construction document and specification development
  • Construction administration (submittals, RFIs)
  • Communication skills with construction teams
  • Building Inspections (mechanical)
  • Technical report writing

Skillset

  • 15-20 years experience designing building mechanical systems (HVAC) in the A/E and construction industry

  • Computer expertise using Revit and other design/presentation software programs

  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desired.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering in Architectural Engineering (BAE) or a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
