Senior Electrical Engineer


Overview

CSArch is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for our growing engineering team in our Albany, New York office. This individual will be an integral part of our engineering design group, leading electrical design work and working alongside our project managers, architects, and engineers in performing technical design and specification.

The qualified individual should have at least 10 years of experience designing building electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects as a consultant to architects, developers and property owners.

Core Duties

  • Perform engineering tasks as a mechanical design engineer from concept design through construction closeout, including development of construction drawings, specifications, calculations and cost estimates.
  • Survey and assess existing buildings, and associated mechanical and plumbing equipment to develop future capital improvement projects for the client.
  • Review construction documents for code compliance, interdisciplinary coordination, and quality assurance List of Duties/Responsibilities.
  • Construction administration (submittals, RFIs, construction site observations and documentation).

Skillset

  • Fire alarm system design experience is a plus.
  • Telecommunications system design experience is a plus.
  • LEED certified project experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New York.
  • LEED AP accreditation is preferred.
