Former Superintendent Dr. Douglas Huntley Joins CSArch as an Educational Specialist

2.26.2020

CSArch is thrilled to announce Dr. Douglas Huntley, former Superintendent of Schools at Queensbury Union Free School District, has joined the firm as an Educational Specialist.

“Welcoming Dr. Huntley to our firm is a testament to our value for long-term relationships,” said Daniel Woodside, President at CSArch. “As a client of ours for the last 12 years, our collaboration has certainly impacted student success and we look forward to continuing this work together in his new role.”

Having retired in January 2020, Dr. Huntley began his career in education over 43 years ago and has been integral to the success of several capital projects during his time as superintendent at Hadley-Luzerne CSD, Massena CSD, and most recently at Queensbury UFSD where he spearheaded the Legacy 2020 Capital Project to redesign the Queensbury High School.

“I firmly believe student success is tied to the design of space,” said Dr. Huntley. “I’m very much looking forward to working with CSArch’s project teams and school districts across the state to better align educational programs with school design.”

In addition to leveraging his hands-on experience to support the development of capital projects, Dr. Huntley will be supporting CSArch’s business development and client relations efforts and will be representing the firm at industry tradeshows and events, such as the New York State Council of School Superintendent’s Winter Institute coming up this weekend.
