Ichabod Crane CSD Celebrates Completion of Capital Project

Following a two-year construction period beginning in May 2020, the Ichabod Crane Central School District welcomed back students and faculty in new spaces designed to enhance STEAM programming, maximize safety and security, and bolster athletics and physical education programs. Joined by administration, students, faculty, and community members, the district celebrated this milestone with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, September 16.

“As you walk around our campus, you can see transformative changes in all of our buildings that are opening up new opportunities for our students,” said Suzanne Guntlow, Superintendent at Ichabod Crane CSD. “The start of each school year is always an exciting time, but this year even more so as we welcome back our students into these brand-new spaces.”

Approved by voters in December 2018, the capital project was the result of an extensive planning process that considered the diverse needs and interests of all learners. With a focus on educational programming, sustainability, and safety and security, the renovated spaces will support increased opportunities through new programs that better reflect education in the 21st century.
