CSArch Celebrates the Career and Retirement of President Daniel Woodside

5.23.2025

After nearly three decades at CSArch, including eight years of visionary leadership as the firm’s President and Executive Principal, Daniel Woodside is retiring. Dan’s steady guidance, unwavering commitment to excellence, and vision to diversify the firm’s expertise while staying true to its roots as an education-focused design firm have helped shape CSArch into the organization it is today.

Throughout his 29-year tenure, Dan has championed innovation, built long-lasting relationships with clients and partners, and fostered a culture of collaboration that makes CSArch a great place to work. His influence can be seen not only in the projects CSArch has delivered, but also in the lasting impressions he left on those who worked alongside him.

While Dan has personally shared the news of his retirement with partners, colleagues, and clients over the past few months, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate his remarkable career. The team at CSArch is deeply grateful for his contributions and leadership, and we wish him all the best as he embarks on this next chapter into retirement.

To honor Dan, CSArch gathered for a retirement party filled with laughter, memories, and heartfelt tributes on May 22nd at our Albany office. It was a special evening to recognize not only his professional accomplishments, but also the friendships and culture he has helped build.

    Thank you, Dan, for everything.

Dan’s retirement will take effect after May 30, 2025. Richard Peckham will lead the firm as President with support from several current members of CSArch’s Executive and Managing Principal team. Due to long-term strategic visioning and succession planning, Dan's move into retirement will be a seamless transition and is backed by individuals who have held firm leadership positions for several years.
