CAPITAL PROJECT

Gloversville
Enlarged School District

ATHLETIC FIELDS

Atheltic Field Complex

Phase 1 of the $37.8 million capital project began in Spring 2017 and included site work to upgrade the athletic fields and tennis courts at the middle/high school.

Multi-Use Fields

An all-weather synthetic turf field accommodates soccer, field hockey, and varsity softball. The softball dugouts are enclosed by a chain-link fence with an open air, at-grade, metal roof structure and bench seating.

Tennis Courts
Six new tennis courts are integrated into the consolidated athletic complex.
Traffic Circulation

Bus loop and student pick up / drop off areas were reconfigured to improve traffic flow and alleviate congestion at the middle and high schools. Sidewalk replacements enhance accessibility throughout school grounds and between athletic fields.

Project Scope

In 2016, Gloversville Enlarged School District presented voters with a $37.8 million capital improvement project based on findings from the 2015 Building Condition Survey, which was completed by CSArch. Completed in 2019, the project addressed health, safety, site, and building infrastructure items at the elementary, middle, and high schools.

MEP system upgrades at each school building provided HVAC and ventilation improvements, including rooftop mechanical unit replacements, boiler replacements, and electrical transformer replacements. Additional improvements included LED lighting and PA system upgrades, window and door replacements, ceiling and flooring replacements, and air conditioning upgrades.
